Banjo #10: Linduin I made a new neck out of a solid piece of Norway maple for a banjo pot that was twelve inches across instead of the usual eleven. I also scallopped the fretboard and gave the frets a rounded aspect like a steel string guitar for easier bar-chording. I didn't make it for sale but eventually did sell it, to Susan Sterngold. Like Cormalindë and Isillindë, the fifth string peg is moved to the peghead with a screw at the fifth fret to slip the fifth string under. An extra bass string an octave below the third string gives it six strings, but it plays like a frailing or bluegrass banjo, not a guitar-banjo.
