Patricia Windrow: Drawings of People
Pat was an accomplished caricaturist; some of her creations hung in Sardi's in New York. But the line between caricature, genre and portrait — depending on the subject matter — can be very fine indeed. Hence, herewith are presented a goodly sum of Windrow portrait drawings: some flattering, some devastating, some simply as she saw them.
Though (due to the artist's monumental output in this genre) this section has been organized by category, many examples straddle the boundaries between disparate spheres — e.g., politics and performing arts: thus some occur more than once, in an almost capricious fashion.
